Savory Baked Goodie

Italian Pie Bite. This is an individual meat pie or turnover with homemade sauce.

This is the first time I have ever made turnovers, so sealing them was an experience. I decided to go an easy way and close with a fork one of many options.

Its been a while since I have actually made a pie crust, but it seemed easier this time and was pretty tasty.

The filling consisted of sausage with no casing, Parmesan and mozzarella cheese.

The pies by themselves are okay, it could probably use additional mozzarella cheese. Once you dipped the pie in the marinara sauce it comes together as a complete dish. These are not to bad. These would be great to serve as an amuse-bouche or an appetizer.

Oldie but Goodie

Hello again! This is a Rosemary Shortbread Cookie, oldie but goodie in my house. I say this but as you can see they have been burnt. Lets just blame it on my new oven. I promise that the next baked goody I make wont be burnt.

Here are a few that survived. I love these cookies, they are my fall back when I need a quick dessert. Many of you have probably never had an herb in a dessert, but these are so yummy. The Rosemary with the sugar is a such a good mix. These cookies are so crisp and light.

Honey Berry Souffle

Wow, I made a delicious souffle. Not knowing what to make Joe chose a honey souffle. The texture was similar to Bread Pudding, delish. I forgot a few steps and maybe undercooked slightly, but it still turned out so good.

I have been told that souffles are difficult to cook, I just followed the instructions and viola it turned out great.

I am glad the first item on my journey turned out good now I am psyched for tomorrow.

Unemployed

Starting my blog today while i'm unemployed. Going to try several new recipes to share with all. Some will work and others, well you know.
